Tuesday - Assignment three finished

We started off the day looking at an exam paper about computer components, the stored program concept and the Internet. The paper looked quite confusing however I did understand some of the questions and I could answer them. This was quite interesting seeing an exam paper as it shows the sort of questions that you get at A level.

After that I started to work on assignment three task three. My aim for today was to finish this completely and submit it. I managed to get it done just after lunch however I have not submitted it yet as I want to check if it is all right before sending it.

Finally as I finished all of my work for assignment three, I worked on my re submission of assignment one. I wanted to try and finish off the re submission however I have only completed one task so far. Tomorrow I will try to finish off assignment one and assignment two and finish off assignment three on the Thursday.

Monday - Assignment three task one + two done

We started off today with a video about a new piece of technology called the GloveOne. This is a glove that allows you to touch objects that are not there such as a guitar. This was quite an interesting video as I have never seen this technology before and I think it has a lot of potential.

After that I worked on assignment three task one as I had nearly finished it. All I had to do as add in a table of the before and after and explain about Windows Update. This did not take too long and I managed to submit the task just before break.

For the rest of the day I worked on assignment three task two as I wanted to try and submit that today. This task was a lot shorter than task one so it did not take as long. In the end I managed to finish and I just need to submit it so I can work on task three tomorrow. Task three also does not seem too hard so I will be aiming to submit it by tomorrow so I can work on re submissions.

Friday - Many quizzes

We started off the day with some quizzes on a website called Kahoot. It is a quiz website where you can use your phone to answer the questions. The first quiz was about computer hardware and I managed to come first by 100 points. I got 29 right and 4 wrong in that quiz. The second quiz was about logos however it was mainly American based so I did not do too well on it.

After that I worked on assignment four for the website unit as the re submission was in for today. I had to add my CV to my website and make the changes the document that did not take too long to do. Now I only have re submissions for this unit that I will work on after I finish assignment three.

For the rest of the day I continued on assignment three task one as I was trying to finish most of it today. I am up to restoring the files so I will either finish it today or over the weekend as I want to work on task two and three on the Monday and Tuesday.

Thursday - Working on assignment three

We started off today with the quiz that was a TED talk about encrypting emails to be more secure when sending them. The talker was also saying about how data is not secure anymore and about how encryption keys are stored on the server with the data. In the end I managed to get 10/14 that I was pleased with.

After that I worked on a bit of my assignment four re-submission as that is due in for tomorrow. I wanted to finish the website changes as I had a few to do such as fix some links. In the end I managed to do most of the changes however I do need to upload my CV. I will finish this off on Friday morning and work on assignment three.

For the rest of the day I have been working on assignment three task one. This takes quite a bit of time as I have to move all of the images and crop them then comment on them. I have got a large portion of it done today however I still have quite a bit left to do. I will aim to finish most of task one tomorrow so I can work on task two on the Monday.

Tuesday - Assignment three started

We cracked straight into work today as we did not have a starter. As I finished assignment two yesterday, I could work on assignment three straight away. I did have some small changes to do on the website unit for assignment two so I decided to finish them first.

After I finished those changes, I started to organize my images for assignment three as I had not sorted any of them out. I also got my list for the tasks that allowed me to tick off each task as I wrote them in the document. This was quite useful as when I come back to working on it I can check the checklist.

In the end I managed to get down to where I was explaining about installing the RAM and how much RAM I was going to install. I will be aiming to finish task one by Thursday however there is a lot to do so I am not sure if I can finish it by then.

Monday - Assignment two finished

We started off today with watching some videos about robots and about how they can move objects from a shelf. This was quite interesting as robots are advancing a lot now. Another news article John showed us was about how Wi-Fi signals can charge devices such as a camera.

After that we moved onto working on our work. I was aiming to finish assignment two today so I have the rest of the time to work on assignment three and hopefully get that submitted soon. I firstly moved over the images from my phone for assignment three so tomorrow I can get on and work on assignment three.

Finally I managed to get assignment two done. This was not too hard however it did take some time to find all of the main components and decide which ones I wanted. This did take most of the day as I was helping Adam with trying to get his network adapter working however it was not fixed.

Friday - Practical

The starter today was three quizzes about computer systems, functions of OS and CPU. I found this quite interesting as there was a little game between each question. In the end I managed to get 25/30 in the three quizzes and I was proud with it.

After that I started the practical for assignment three. I had a windows XP machine with 2GB RAM and a 3GHz processor. This was quite good however I decided that it needed a dedicated graphics card and more RAM so I installed that.

The installation was not too hard and I found it quite enjoyable to do. I had to install the drivers that was not too hard and I think that the computer runs a lot more smoother now. I just have to add in the files to the user accounts and wait for the disk defragger to finish.

Thursday

Today's starter was a quiz about how well can you hear audio quality. There were six questions in total and they all had three different audio quality that were 128knps, 320 kbps and a wav file. The wav file is the highest quality however I only selected that one twice out of the six times. 

After that we had a recap on assignment three and had a sheet going around about assignment one/two. I found the recap quite helpful as sometimes I do forget parts and it helps to hear different ways to do it. 

For the rest of the day I was working on some re submissions and my checklist for assignment three. I had nearly finished it so this did not take too long to do but I did get a little bit confused however I managed to work it out in the end. I only have one re submission left now however I will do that over the weekend. 

Tuesday - Assignment two and three

We started off today with another quiz. This quiz was about 3D printing and the future of it. It was quite an interesting quiz and in the end I managed to get 8 1/2 that was not too bad. The main aim of today was to learn about a bit of assignment two and assignment three.

After the quiz we worked on our assignment work. I still have task three of assignment one to do and now I have nearly finished it. I have started D1 of it and I will be finishing it off later tonight or tomorrow as it is due for them. It should not take too much time to do so I will be finishing off tonight.

Finally we learnt about assignment three. This is the practical part and we have to upgrade a part of a computer. There are three tasks for this and we need to get the evidence for it all. We all created task lists for task one and had a look at each others. I will find having a task list useful because then I cannot miss a part out and I know I have met all of the criteria.

Monday - Back from half term

Today has mainly been learning about assignment two. There is one task in this assignment and it does not seem to hard to do. It is up to a merit criteria so I do not have to go into loads of detail however I do need a decent amount.

The first activity was a quiz about this unit so far. It was a quiz with 28 questions worth 50 marks. This was to refresh our minds about the unit and see how much we have remembered. In the end I managed to get 32/50 that I was quite proud with.

Finally after we had learnt about assignment two, we moved onto working onto work. I have been working on assignment one task three as this is all I have left to do and it is in for Wednesday. It should not take too long to finish as I have done quite a bit of it.

Friday - Assignment one started

We started off today with the quiz. This quiz was about hardware and the basics of a computer. It was quite an interesting quiz and the prizes were quite amazing. First place was some vietnamese swirls, second prize was a sticky note. In the end Euan won the swirls and Billy won the sticky note saying good job.

After that we moved onto learning about OS (Operating System) for task two. This was quite interesting as I never knew that there was so much behind the OS and how it loads via the BIOS (Basic Input Output System). I also did not know that the BIOS did a check at the start if all of the components were there.

Finally I worked on assignment one task one. This is not complicated as it is writing about computer hardware. In the end I managed to finish 5 of the parts and I have started the 6th. I will be finishing this off in the half term and I will also aim to finish task two.

Thursday - New Unit!

We started off the final unit of the course and the unit is computer systems. This is the unit I have been looking forward to this unit as I am very interested in computer hardware and I think that this is going to be a good unit. I have done some upgrades to my computer such  as the PSU and the graphics card so it would be nice to learn more.

One of the activities was about labeling different parts of a computer. I found this activity quite interesting as I knew some of them however it was nice to learn all of the different parts such as the network card.

The final activity we did was to look at the different operating systems. Our table were the first to go over there and look at the different operating systems. There were Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 10 and Linux. I looked at Windows XP and Windows Vista and you could see a change between them. We had a check list to fill out and tick off which ones we could do.

Overall this day has been very enjoyable and I have learnt quite a lot from today. So far this unit has been interesting and I cannot wait to learn more.

Tuesday - Assignment four

My main aim for today was to finish off most of assignment four. I did want to finish off however in the end I did not managed to get all of it done. I only have two more questions to write about as I am only aiming for a merit in this unit.

Firstly I worked on assignment four task one. I did not have too much to do on it however it did take a little bit of time as had to comment on my code and then take screenshots and write about them. This took a bit of time however in the end I managed to finish it off.

Finally I worked on assignment four task two. This was to write about my survey and make changes to what was suggested. I had already made some of the changes and got screenshots of them however I have not written about them. In the end I wrote about 3 questions so I have 2 left to go. I will finish this off on either Wednesday or on Thursday.

Monday - Website finished

My aim for today was to finish off my website and upload it to the server so I can work on the written work that is in for Friday. I hopefully will be able to finish off assignment four tomorrow so I do not have to worry about finishing it off. I did not have too much to do on my website so it did not take too much time to finish off.

I was having an issue connecting to the server so I had to get that fixed. In the end I did not have an account on the FTP server so that was the reason why I could not connect to the FTP server. After that I managed to connect and upload my website but then I encountered another issue. This issue was that none of the images were showing up so I had to fix that. I quickly found out the reason why so I could change it however it took quite a bit of time. The problem was that the file extension was wrong.

Finally after fixing the problem with the images not loading, I worked on assignment four task one. I did not have too long to work on it however I have nearly finished it. All I have to write about is my code and a little bit on the web browsers.

Friday - Website nearly finished

We started off today with the quiz by Gabe. This quiz was about our next unit that is computer hardware. There was a video to watch and it was out of 16 marks. In the end I managed to get 11/16 that was not too bad.

After that I worked on adding more content to my website. I was aiming to get close to finishing today so I could work on the written work for Monday and Tuesday as we move onto the new unit on Thursday.

Finally I worked on adding in some images. I wanted to add in some social media buttons and a picture of me on the about me page. I have yet to add in the picture of me however I did design all of social media media sites but I do need to add them into my website. They are not linked at the moment so I will do that on Monday.

Thursday - Collecting feedback

We did not start off today with the quiz because Gabe had not created it. This meant that we carried on working on our website. My aim for today was to collect some responses on my website on what can be improved and to add in more content to my website as there is not a lot on there.

I firstly worked on adding some information for the website. I  also tried to get the website working on Internet Explorer however I was having issues with that so I will keep on trying to fix it when I find a way. I decided to add in some contact details and finish off adding in my grades. In the end, I learnt that Internet Explorer does not support a lot of plugins and files, so it is natural to have a broken website when I run it on Internet Explorer.

Finally I was collecting some responses for my website using SurveyMonkey. I was still having issues with the FTP server on FileZilla so I just asked people to come to my monitor. I added on a couple more questions and then I sent it out so I have evidence. I have found out that I should fix the buttons on my navigation bar and I need to change my border colour on my grades table.

Tuesday - Adding more content

Once again we started off today just carrying on designing our websites. I was aiming to add in some content today and to tidy up my code and add in a couple more features. I wanted to have some content in the website before I upload it and send it off for people to review.

I firstly started off changing my 3D text as I missed an apostrophe in it. This did not take too long to do. It does look better now so I am pleased with it. I also had a problem with my footer later in the day so I had to fix that. It was not at the bottom of the page when you added more text so I had to change some of the CSS to make it work.

Finally I worked on adding different pieces of content such as my grades and a small introduction to my website. I did get a little confused when creating the table as I got confused on the tags however I managed to work them out quite quickly.

Monday - Website design

Today was another day of working on our websites. I was not sure what I wanted to do today so I just planned out as I went along. One thing I needed to do was to create a survey to get feedback about my website so far so I did need to do this today. I have not sent out the survey yet as I was having an issue connecting to the server.

Firstly I found an error with my footer not being at the bottom of the page. This took quite a bit of time to work out how to fix it. In the end I had to set it up in the CSS file and add in a div tag. This managed to fix it and it is on the bottom of all of the pages.

Finally I created my survey and worked on some other features of my website such as fixing a border issue on the logo. This did not take too much time to fix and it looks a lot better now. I have also nearly finished my survey so that should not take too long to do.

Thursday - Website started!

We started off today with the quiz made by Ashley. This was another general knowledge quiz and this time it was about HTML. I have not done a lot of HTML so I was not sure on most of the questions. In the end I managed to get 4 1/2 but Gabe got 2 so he is doing it next week. Hardly any people got a high score so 4 1/2 was quite good.

After that I started to work on assignment three task two. I only had a little bit left to do so I was aiming to finish it just before lunch. In the end I managed to finish it before lunch so I could start to work on my website. I was aiming to plan out the website today and understand HTML more.

Finally I worked on my website. I decided to design my background first as I wanted to see how the text looked with the background. I selected a blue background with a gradient and I think it looks pretty good. It works well with the orange text I selected as well. I also created some 3D text for the header I am pleased with that.

Tuesday - Assignment three

Today's main aim was to work on assignment three task two. I managed to get most of it done however I still have a bit left to do. Task two has different terms we have to explain about. I decided to try and get most of it done for today.

We were also learning about the distinction task today. This has more explanations however I am not aiming to go for the distinction for this unit. I am aiming for merit on the last two units for  MM over all. I will be aiming to finish assignment three either tomorrow or at the start of Thursday.

For the end of the day I did submissions for the units. I have submitted the games unit and I only have the 2D animation left to submit. As I got the email back today I will work on submitting it on Thursday.

Friday - Post 100 | A3T1 done!

We started off today with a general knowledge quiz by Jordan. As he forgot to create it for yesterday, he made it for today. In the end I managed to get 5/10 that was not too bad as the lowest was a massive 2/10.

After that we learnt about assignment three task two. This has quite a bit to write about however it does look quite simple. I will be starting that on Tuesday as I just finished assignment three task one. There are different terms we have to talk about and it is a merit task so I do not need go into too much detail.

For most of the day I worked on assignment three task one. I had to draw all of the plans for my webpages that took quite a while. In the end I managed to finish them and scan all of the drawings into the document. Then I had to write about the folder structure and how I will set it up. This did not take too long to do.

Thursday - Assignment two / three

We started off today with learning about assignment three. This assignment is for the actual designing of the website. We have to create a website about ourselves and include features such as a table, 5 pages and images. I have started to plan my website however I did not have too much time to do so as I was working on assignment two.

I firstly worked on assignment two task two as it is in for Friday and I had a bit left to do. I had to write about CAPTCHA, Data Protection Act and Barclays policy on data protection. This took a bit of time as I had to research all of the different parts. In the end I managed to get it done just before lunch so after lunch I could work on assignment three.

Finally I worked on assignment three. I worked on designing a structure diagram for my site as this was the first part I needed to do. This did not take too long however I did have to come up with my different webpages. After that I worked on designing my web pages. I managed to get the design I wanted down and I just need to add the information to all of the other pages.

Tuesday - Assignment two nearly finished!

As I had finished and submitted assignment one yesterday, I aimed to get most of assignment two done today. There are two tasks in assignment two and they did not seem too hard to complete. We started off learning about task two with a group activity. We all had a term to research about and get the definition of it. This was quite good for learning about the different terms for task two.

After that I started off with task one. I had not started other than create the file so I had quite a bit to do. There were the user side factors and the server side factors that I had to write about. In the end this was not too hard to write about and it did not take me too long as it was only for a pass.

Finally I worked on assignment two task two. For task two we have to write about different security threats and different ways of preventing it. In the end I had done most of it and I only have a little bit left to write about. I will finish this off tomorrow or on Thursday.

Monday - Assignment work

We started off today with learning about assignment two. This assignment has two tasks in it and we have to explain about user and server sides of loading a webpage. I did not start this today as I wanted to finish off assignment one as it is due in Wednesday.

I firstly worked on task three as I had a bit left to do. This took quite a bit of time because I had to research all of the different key terms as I had no idea what they meant. I managed to finish this just before lunch so I could work on task four.

I started to work on task four after lunch. I was aiming to finish this today so I could work on assignment two tomorrow. Task four was not that hard as we had done some of the work beforehand. This did not take as long as I expected so I managed to finish it off just in time.

Friday - More assignment work completed!

We started off today with the quiz that Brandon made as he forgot to make it for yesterday. The quiz was about a web designing site called MGR. It was quite an interesting video and I managed to get 6/8 that I was pretty proud with.

After that we moved onto working on our work. I had started T2 and I still had a bit left to do so my aim for today was to finish off T2 and start T3. I had to write about two hosting services and write about the structure of a domain. This took quite some time to do however in the end I managed to finish it.

Finally I worked on task three. I spent the rest of the day working on it and in the end I managed to nearly two of the diagrams done. I will try to finish off T3 either other the weekend or on Monday as I have not a lot left to do.

Thursday - Assignment work!

For most of the day we have been working on assignment one. We did not have the normal quiz today as Brandon forgot to create it. I was aiming today to complete assignment one task one and start task two. There are four tasks for assignment one so there is quite a lot to do.

I worked on assignment one task one to start off with. I had finished a good chunk of it however I still had quite a bit to do. This took quite some time to finish but in the end I managed to finish it just before lunch that I was happy with.

Finally I worked on assignment one task two. This task is mainly about web hosting services and the domain registrars. It seems quite straightforward so I do not think it would take too long to complete. I will be aiming to finish off task two and work on task three tomorrow.

Tuesday - Starting assignment one!

We started off today with a little video that was quite funny. It was a comedy about the internet and it was in a box. If that box was dropped so much would happen and it fell and everyone went pretty crazy in the video. This was quite funny and it was a nice break into assignment one.

After the video we did a quiz about terms in assignment one. I was not too good at that however quite a few people were not too good at it. After it we went into pairs and had to do some research about the terms. We were all assigned one term each and we had to work in pairs. We were assigned application layer and that was quite easy to find out about.

For the rest of the day we were working assignment one task one. I was aiming to finish the first part and in the end I did. I will be aiming to finish off most of it on Thursday as it is not too hard to do. I have about six parts left to write about and I am done.

Monday - New unit!

Today we started off the next unit that is web design. I have done web design once at high school however we never went into too much detail with it. I have wanted to learn how to create websites with code so I hope I will enjoy this unit.

We cracked straight on with learning about HTML. The program we were using for writing the HTML was Notepad ++. I had never used Notepad ++ before so it was another new thing to learn about. Notepad ++ is pretty handy because it highlights the code that allows you to easily understand it.

After we finished learning the basics from Zoe, we moved onto practicing our HTML/CSS skills. I decided to experiment with the CSS. I wanted to learn about if you could change the cursor when they are on the website. I managed to find out this however the cursor could not be animated. I also found out about adding a background colour as well.

Thursday

We started off the day with matching starter. These were quite helpful as it is a good way to start off learning about the criteria for assignment 4. The first one was to match up the pass / merit / distinction with the criteria. I found this useful for breaking into assignment four.

After that we moved onto creating our survey and doing other peoples surveys. It was interesting to see other peoples animations and review them as we have only been working with our own animation most of the time. Creating the survey took quite a bit of time to create because we were filling in other peoples surveys at the same time.

We sent out the survey and got the responses to write about. I am aiming for a merit so I need to write about 400 words that is not too much. I am writing about three of the questions we asked and I have nearly finished the second one. I can finish a large majority of the work today so I will not have a lot to do tomorrow.

Tuesday - Submitting assignment three

Today our main aim was to submit assignment three as it was due in for today. We had finished our animation however we still had some paperwork to do and we needed to add some titles and credits. The starter of the day was a maths game. It was called "You cant do simple maths under pressure". Hence the name, it was a game that tested our math skills. In the end I managed to get to level seven then I stopped.

After that we moved onto working on assignment two and three. We wanted to finish assignment three first as it was due into today however we worked on bits at a time. I started off writing about some pictures on task three. This took quite some time as I was also working on assignment two.

After we finished all of the written work for assignment two and three, we worked on adding the titles and credits. The music was out so we had to edit it down. This took some time as we also had to change the volume of the music. In the end we finished the editing and the work has been submitted.

Friday - Animation finished!

As Adam was not here today, we did not have any starter. This meant that we cracked straight into work. Our aim for today was to finish off editing the animation and get most of the paperwork done. We started off rendering the animation ready to edit and we came across a problem. In the race we had the monitor and the hand so we had to work out how we could edit this out.

In the end we worked out that we could take a photo and paint over the parts. This worked quite well however you could see where it was done. This took some time to edit but in the end we managed to fix it. There was a couple other areas we needed to brush up on and we did that.

Finally I worked on the credits of the animation. We decided to have a variety of effects for the text however there is a couple I need to fix. I will do this in half term as I have Flash. I will need to have the credits last a bit longer so you can read what it says. Other than that Euan was adding in the sound effects and the music and it all works well.

Thursday - Animation nearly done!

Today's main aim was to work on our animation. We wanted to get very close to finishing and we have nearly finished it. First off we started with the normal quiz on Thursday. This quiz was about a Warner Bros animation that was quite funny. In the end I managed to get 5/6 that was not too bad. After Easter Matt is creating the next quiz.

Then we moved onto working on our animation. It was quite hard to set up the set so we decided to change the camera angle and it did look better. We wanted to have the main character lose energy and then a seagull to fly in and drop the bar. We did try this with a clay seagull however it did not work so we used a cut out one.

The final lesson of today we worked on the ending of the animation. We wanted to have the camera zoom into the winner and then swap to a different scene of them climbing onto the podium. The yellow character was too high on the podium so we decided to have a pan up and then the seagull flies around.

Tomorrow we will be aiming to finish off the animation towards the start of the day. After that we will need to work on assignment work and hopefully be close to finishing.

Tuesday - Starting out the animation!

We started off today with another video of an animation. This video was the intro of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It was quite an interesting intro because there was many different camera angles and I had never seen an animation like that before. There was different questions that we had to answer such as about the anesthetic of it.

After that we moved onto a little bit of paper work for assignment three task one. We had to write about some pictures and I had to finish off about the sound. This did not take too long and we have just about finished task one. We also had to update it later when Euan created the new backgrounds.

Then we moved onto creating the backgrounds. We had to create a running track, some trees and some clouds. We also need to print off the bar for the animation. I attempted once however it printed as an A4 bar that was too big for the animation. I decided to print off the bar with the clouds because it was easier.

Finally we worked on the animation. This was quite fun however at the start it was annoying because we needed to work out the best way to animate. We found out that trying to make the characters have leg movement was a very bad idea. In the end we decided that having them just move a long works a lot better.

Monday - Creating assets!

Today was the first day of creating the animation. We are using claymation so we had to create all of our assets out of clay except from the background. First off Adam showed a video about a stop motion and we had some questions to answer. I thought that the stop motion was very interesting and it is nice to see other peoples work.

We started off with a little bit of paper work and then we worked on using the clay. We needed to warm up the clay so it was easy to work with. We were all creating a character each and we were using different colours. I used yellow, Euan used blue and Adam used green. I started off creating the legs and I moved up the body creating more of it. In the end it took quite a long time to create the character however I am happy with what I have created. Euan created the eyes for each of the characters that made them look a lot better.

After the characters were created, we worked on the background. We decided to create a running track for our background. We changed our idea as we thought that having the character jump over buildings was a bad idea. Our new idea was to have a race and the main character is losing and he eats a bar and ends up becoming first. After that it will change scene and show the main character holding the bar.

Friday - The outside world!

We started off today looking at the clouds (the eclipse) what was an interesting event. We also did a little quiz about storyboards. There was a snippet of the video to watch before a question came up. In the end I managed to get about 400 in my first attempt and 500 in my second attempt because I remembered the answers to most of them.

After that we moved onto learning about assignment three. We started off with task two first because that was to develop our storyboard so we have a clear understanding on what we will be designing for our animation. We were a little bit behind but we split up our work load and we managed to finish assignment 2 pretty fast.

Finally I was working on the music. Me and Adam were looking for music and in the end we found a piece that sounds good. I have used Audacity the most so I was editing it down to a reasonable size. This took some time as there was some parts I wanted to remove so I had to get that correct. In the end I managed to finish it all off and it is ready to be used in the animation.

Thursday

We started off the day with the weekly quiz. This quiz was created by Jordan and it was about Micky Mouse. There was 8 questions and I managed to get 4/8. The winner of this quiz was Sami and the loser with the massive score of 1/8 was Billy.

After that we moved onto creating our pitch for our product. As Adam was not here today, me and Euan had to create the presentation and present it. The pitch is for assignment two task two and we needed to get feedback from people. We have decided that we will change the fridge to a safe that we will create out of Plasticine. I feel that this idea will work better as it does not really make sense that the bar had to be stored into the fridge.

For the rest of the day, we worked on our design log. We still had a little bit to do such as design some storyboards. We had a look at all of the feedback and we selected three different ones to write about. We have left a little bit of work for Adam to do as he was not here.

Overall I think that today we have made a lot of progress with the design log and we are clearer on what we want to design. I think that having a safe is a lot better than the fridge.

Tuesday

Today we started off learning about pre-production. Pre-production is where you develop your ideas prior to the process of production. There was three different websites that we could get information from. I created some notes about pre-production so I can refer back to them.

After that we carried on working on our animations. We did not really have a clear idea on the product we wanted to do so that was our first aim. In the end we decided that we wanted to advertise an energy bar. Then we had to come up with a name. We had a lot of random names however in the end we settled with "Zoom". My job was to design the packaging for the product. I was happy with what I designed and the logo Adam and Euan designed worked well.

We have decided that we want to create a claymation so Adam got us the plasticine out so we could have a look. We are following Euans design as we feel that is the best designed out of all of our story boards. I think creating the characters will be hard however it will be fun to design them.

Monday

We started off today with a word search. This was to introduce us to assignment two that is the planning for the animation. In the end I managed to find two words so I was pretty bad at it. I prefer to do them on paper compared to on computer.

After that we moved onto learning assignment two. Like I said, this is the planning stage so we had to design a brief. We were allowed to work in groups of up to three so I am working with Adam and Euan. We started out by planning some mind maps to work out what we would do. In the end we will be doing an action stop motion however we do not know which product yet. We also used Google Docs for working on the brief and that was very helpful because we could easily edit all of the work at the same time and see what each other is writing about.

In the final lesson today, we were allowed to work on assignment one. All I had left to do was to write about three more people in task two and start task three. In the end I managed to write about one more person in task two and completely finish task three. At home I will finish off task two and the timeline. That should not take too much time.

Friday

We started off today with a match up the word activity. Adam sent us a document with 5 images and 5 descriptive words. This was quite an interesting activity as it does help improve our vocabulary and our descriptive language. Adam also sent us a link for more vocabulary.

After that we moved onto working on our work. I carried on working task two as I had the most work to do on that. I managed to get quite a lot of it done but I still have some left. I am about half way through the work so I will be finishing it off over the weekend. I will also finish off task one as I do not have much left to write about.

Finally we learnt about task three of assignment one. This task is to evaluate two different animations. I think this will be easier than task two as all you have to do is explain each of the animations and say some strengths and weaknesses. I will start that at home and finish it on Monday.

Thursday quiz day

We started off today with the quiz. This weeks quiz was about a film called A Scanner Darkly. The technique used for this film was rotoscoping. I managed to get 4/10 in the end so it was not too good but Jordan managed to get 3/10 so once again I was saved from doing the quiz!

After that we moved onto our presentations. I was not as nervous as the presentations before hand so I can see that my confidence has improved. I also felt more confident when I was up there. Down below I will be answering some questions.

What score did you get for your presentation?
I managed to get 14/20.
Why?
I got 14/20 because it was well presented however I was reading off the board so that did bring my mark down.
How will you improve next time?
I will aim not to read off the board. I can do this by having notes to read from.

When all of the presentations were done, we moved onto task two. For this task we have to create a timeline and a document about different parts of animation in the past. There is quite a bit to do however it is quite simple. I have done about five of the parts and I will be finishing that off over the weekend.

Tuesday

We started off today with a little type test to help us improve our typing skills. I managed to get 62 words per minute so I am quite pleased with that as the average is 40 words per minute. This activity was quite interesting and it does help improve my typing skills.

After that we moved onto the next part of task one. This was about digital animation types. The two we had to cover were 2D bitmap and 2D vector. We had wrote about these before so it was not too hard to write about. We also learnt about the application software that can be used for creating animations. These two parts are quite straight forward and I should be able to finish them easily.

Then we moved onto task two of assignment one. We have to make a PowerPoint for this so I am a little bit nervous. I am not as nervous as before because we are doing more presentations and it does make me more confident. I also like how I am working with someone because I prefer doing presentations with someone. I only need to add a few more things onto the PowerPoint and we can present on Thursday.

Monday - New unit!

Today we started the new unit that is 2D animation. This is similar to the last unit as they are both to do with animation however they are quite different. We started off today with a little activity to match up the words with the images. This was quite an interesting activity as it was in Photoshop and we could move them around.

We also started work on assignment one task one. This is to write about key terms such as Flip books and Rotoscoping. We have to say what they are, what is involved in making the animation technique and the key features / uses. So far I have managed to write about four of them so I still have a way to go. Adam showed some examples of the different techniques and they were quite interesting to watch.

For most of the day we worked on assignment one task one. It is in for Monday so we do have quite a bit of time to learn the rest of the techniques and write about them. I made notes about it so I can easily refer back to them if I get stuck. I will be aiming to finish off task one tomorrow and hopefully start on task two as well.

Friday - Finished U39!

Todays main aim was to finish off unit 39. I was quite close to finishing so my goal for today was to finish it off and to submit it before I leave that I have managed to do (I have not submitted it yet as of writing this post). I will do a quick proof read before I submit it and I will make sure everything is attached.

We started off today with the quiz created by Ed. This quiz was about a short animation created by Pixar. I managed to get 4/7 because most of it was sight based and not fact based. Next week Alex is creating the quiz and Ashley won the dual monitors for this week. I enjoy the weekly quizzes as they are a nice little break in the week.

For the rest of today we were working assignment three. I had three more pictures to talk about on my design log for task one and for task two I needed send out a survey and evaluate the rest of my timescale. I had one day left about my timescale so it did not take too long. I got seven responses on my survey so it gave me a variety of answers I could use for the other part.

Yesterday we went to the Creative Futures event in the Forum and it was quite interesting. First off there was a talk from three different people and then we went onto two different work stations. The two work stations I had chosen were animation and games design. Down below are some questions that I will be answering.

What did you learn?
I learnt about how you might not get to your goal straight away and you might have to do different things to reach your goal. The three people in talk all had experienced this and it was quite interesting learning about how they got there. One person who was talking first off worked in writing magazines and then was a journalist and then finally moved into a writer and now she prints her own books. I found this talk quite interesting.

What did you like most?
I enjoyed the animation part the most as it was on stop motion and I find them quite fun to design.

Why should we let level 3's go again?
You should let the level 3's go again as they would benefit them learning about their futures and the directions they can take.

As I said, we are finishing assignment 39 today so here are some more questions that I have to answer.

What have you learnt from unit 39?
I have learnt about how to use Flash and using sounds in animation. Before when I used Flash I never used sounds and it does make a big difference.

I will meet my deadlines by working on Sunday and checking the mark grid

I would create the animation again but with all of the changes.

Tuesday

Today we started learning about evaluation for assignment three task two. We had to find a definition about evaluation. After that Adam explained what we needed  to do for task two and he gave us some help on the board that I wrote down. I found it quite helpful as it explains what we need to do.

After that I started to work on task two. My plan is to write a little evaluation for each part of the day over the three days. I decided to add in some titles for the parts of the table so it is easier to understand. I had three different titles that were the targets, the review and the evaluation. In the end I managed to write most of the evaluation for three days.

I also worked on my design log. I did not do too much for it however I did sort out all of my pictures so I can write about them tomorrow. I did write a little bit today but my main focus was to work on my evaluation as it is fresh in my mind. I will also create a questionnaire for people to answer and I will send it off tomorrow.

Monday - Finished banner!

We started off today with a crossword about unit 39. This was quite a fun warm up to do as it helps to warm up the brain and it refreshes what we have been learning. My aim for today was to finish off my animation and to start organizing my design log that I managed to do.

I started off editing my jungle music. It is a 20 second animation so I had to cut it down to 20 seconds for it to work. I added it into my animation however it did not sound good when it starts again so I added a fade in and a fade out to make it sound better. I added it back into the animation and it worked better. The coin collection sounds can be heard over the soundtrack so I am happy with that.

The rest of the day I worked on my design log and some little fixes to my animation. One of these fixes was to add in the Facebook and Twitter logos and enlarge when you roll over them. I still have quite a bit to do on my design log so I will work on that a bit at home. I have organsied all of the pictures so I know which order they go in.

More banner design!

All of today we were working on our banners. My main aim for today is to get the coins disappearing when they are collected. I also wanted to find some music for the background. I first off looked at what I needed to do today. I started looking for some jungle themed royalty music that took some time. In the end I managed to find some music and downloaded it. I need to edit it down some more so it works well with my animation. I also got a coin collection noise so when the coin is collected it makes a noise. 

After that I moved onto  working out how I can make the coins disappear. This did take a little time to work out but in the end I managed to work it out. This took quite a long time to make all of the coins but in the end I finished it. I decided to add some spikes in for the character to jump over as well. 

Then I moved onto creating text. I did not have a lot of time to create text so I only managed to create the name and animate it. I will be having all of the text animating in different ways so it is interesting. I also designed some more text for my animation so I am all ready for finishing my animation. 

Thursday - Quiz and animation design!

We started off today with a an odd one out quiz. As the person who was meant to create the quiz last week was ill, Adam had made the quiz. You would get one point for the correct odd one out and another point for the reason why it was the odd one out and there was a total of 11 marks. I got a grand total of two out of 11 and luckily someone got one out of 11 so I did not have to make the quiz! This was an interesting quiz and it was fun to do.

After that we moved onto designing our animations. I opened up my plan on what I was going to do today so I could set some goals. My aim for today was to create all of the text and organize the files. In the end I managed to get all of this done and to start designing my animation. Whenever I had finished one of my goals, I would highlight it. At the end of each lesson, we had to reflect on what we had achieved.

I started off designing my text for the end of the animation. There was three different texts I needed to create. The first one was "Jungle Escape", the second one was "Play today!" and the third one was "Collect items". The collect items took the longest as I had to save each letter one at a time. I am happy with my progress made  today and I will hopefully make a lot of progress tomorrow

Tuesday - Finishing up assignment two!

We started off today with a drawing game. This one was to draw the first part of our banner and then pass it onto the next person. When we get the next bit of paper we drew the next part of the banner. We did this till the sheets were full up and then we could look at the ideas that we made. The paper had four different ideas on how to create a web banner. I enjoyed this because it allowed me to see different ways that people will be designing their banner.

After that we carried on with our work. I had a little bit of the mood board, the sketches and the storyboard left to create. As this is in today I was aiming to finish off the story board ready to be scanned in when I get home. I started off finishing my mood board as I still had some images to add. Then I moved onto my sketches and this took quite a while to design. I enjoyed creating the sketches as it was quite interesting drawing out my character and enemies. I also designed the font in my sketches and I tried doing 3D however that did not work too well.

Finally I worked on my storyboards. I had to design three different ideas so I used my mind map I designed yesterday to help me. These took quite a bit to design as well because I had to write about what is happening and think about how I can design it in the storyboard.

Monday - back from a break!

We started off today off today with a little drawing game. We have done this before and I found this quite fun to warm up our brains. The aim of the game is to create a drawing from the word Adam tells us. For example, one of the words today was "yellow". The first thing that came into my head was the sun so I drew that.

After the game we moved onto assignment two. I was aiming to get at least up to my moodboard what I did and I have nearly finished it. I started off working on the mind map because I wanted to get my ideas down. I came up with three ideas but I do prefer the first one I did. After that I worked on a brainstorm. I was meant to do this first however I felt more comfortable working on my mind map first.

We also worked on Flash tutorials. I had a look at the Adobe tv site and it was quite interesting. I found it quite helpful learning about the different features of Flash such as deco tool. This tool allows you to create different drawing effects.

Overall I have enjoyed this day. My favorite part of today was the drawing starter as it helps with improving my creative skills. The deadline for assignment two is in for tomorrow and I have one re submission to do that I will do on Wednesday.

Friday - The day before half term!

We started off today with a game to help us wake up our brains. Adam had animation on the board and there was three words under it. The aim of this game was to first start off with the last letter of animation and think of a word that begins with n and is also to do with animation. Then you would have to make a word from the last letter of that word about animation. It was pretty confusing at the start but in the end we managed to work it out and it was fun to do.

After that we moved on to learning about the development process. There is four stages to the development. These four stages are brainstorm, spider diagram, mind map and a mood board. Each part you go into more detail so you know how to design it better. This was quite interesting learning how designing works.

Then we moved back onto Flash tutorials. I carried on with my train as I wanted to try to finish it however I did not. I managed to finish some of the animation part and I found that quite fun. It was quite easy as I have used Flash for animation before.

Quiz Thursday!

We started off today with a yes / no game. We all had a key term stuck onto our heads and we had to go around asking yes / no questions to work out who we were. I was Pierre Hubert Desvignes who I had never heard of. In the end I found out he was a French person who is dead and he created flip books.

After this we moved onto learning about assignment two. For assignment two we need to write about a brief. There is some parts we have to write about. These are client needs, target audience, content, format and aesthetic. So far this seems like an easy task and I do not think it should take long to finish.

We also did a Flash tutorial. This was to help improve our Flash skills when we move onto design our banner. I have used Flash at high school before so I did know a bit about it. I found this tutorial quite good to recap on and it has helped me remember. We had to make a train move along so we had to use motion tweens.

Friday

We started off today preparing for our presentations. We had not finished our presentation properly as it was quite hard to find information for XHTML. I was making notes on the other presentations so I can refer back to them when I start on assignment one.

Creating the presentation was quite stressful once again because of not finding any information. After we did the presentation we had to add in more information. Adam helped us and that did help us understand more what we were doing. I found out you sometimes have to look around for the answers and look for other possible methods.

Overall this day has been quite confusing and stressful however in the end we managed to work it out. Over the weekend I do need to finish all of my re submissions so I am caught up with all my work. I have two submissions left to do so it should not take too long.

New unit

Today we have started the new unit. The new unit is web animation and it seems quite interesting as I have never done web animations before. We started off today with looking at some optical illusions. I have seen some of these before but some of them I have not. I like looking at optical illusions as they are clever and its fun to try work out how they work.

After that we moved onto the quiz. This weeks quiz was made by Brandon. He made it into a video what was a clever idea. The video was on web animation and it was quite interesting. In the end I got 6/14 so I did not win but the good thing was that Joe or Liam did not win the quiz!

We started to learn about assignment one and and it seems quite simple. We have to explain about different terms to do with animation. We are doing a PowerPoint presentation for this in pairs so I'm not too confident with it. I am happy that we are in pairs as I prefer being in pairs / groups instead of being on my own. We were working on XHTML and it is quite hard to find information on. We have managed to do most of it however we cannot find the creator and some other information.

Tuesday - Assignment three finished!

Today will be a short blog as I am finishing early. We started off today doing the end of unit survey. I have learnt a lot throughout the unit and this unit has been quite interesting. I never knew there was so much to do with networking. I can see I have improved from the start of the unit as I did not understand most of it.

After that I started working assignment three. I had a read through the scheme of learning to understand what I was doing and that did help. I made the layout and started to write about the effectiveness of wired and wireless. I feel confident with task two and I think I have met the criteria for it.

When I get home I will proof read it again and then send it off ready for marking. I have half the work at home so I will need to proof read that as well.

Monday - Assignment two

We started off today doing a typing challenge to warm up our brains. I managed to play two games and I got about 50 words per minute. I was happy with how I got 50 words per minute. We also had to write a target for today. I found this quite helpful because I could easily plan out what I wanted to complete today. My goal was to complete assignment two and I have nearly finished it.

After we had done that we moved onto working on our goals. I started off working on assignment two task one. I did have a little bit left and I managed to finish that off just after break. I moved onto task two after that and I have nearly finished it. I have one bit left and then I can send off assignment two ready to be marked.

Overall I am happy with my progress today and I will finish off assignment three tomorrow. I do not have too much to do for assignment three so that should not take long.

Friday

Today we started off the day with creating some PowerPoints. We had two different scenarios that we had to work out and one group would present at the end. We were put into groups and there was a set group leader. In my group I was the group leader. I was quite nervous about that because I am not good with being a group leader. In the end I think it went well when Adam came and helped a little bit with the organisation. This was to help us with assignment three task two and to help us understand it more.

After that we moved onto assignment work. There was an option to either do assignment two or assignment three so I went with assignment two. I had not started task one of assignment two so I wanted to work on that. In the end I managed to nearly finish it. I only have to explain one more part and I will be done with task one. That should not take long to finish off so I can do that other the weekend ready to submit on Monday.

We also had the quiz today. This was made by Adam and it was about the different generations such as 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. I got the massive grand total of 3/10 however I was not last. Brandon only got 2/10 so I managed to just miss making the quiz next week.

Thursday

Today we started off with a crossword puzzle. This was about communication technology and we had to find all of the words. The first person who found all the words won a prize. In the end Adam won the the crossword. This was a good way of recapping on all the different keywords and it does help remember the keywords.

Then we moved onto looking at different guides to help us with assignment three. I looked at a guide by Wikihow and I liked it because it was clearly laid out and it had pictures to explain each step. It also had a handy tips and warnings section at the bottom. This helped me design my step by step guides and I am now more confident when I start to design the guides.

After that we moved on to assignment three. This is the last assignment in the unit and this one is about writing different guides. The three guides are a Skype guide, connecting to Wi-Fi guide and connecting a device to Bluetooth. I started to work on the Skype guide and I have nearly finished it.

Tuesday - Assignment 2

We started off today with a little game of charades on our phones. The aim of the game was to guess what we had (we had to put our phones on our fore heads so we did not know what we had). This task was to improve our descriptive language when explaining things. I found this quite a fun activity and it does help you improve your descriptive language.

After that Adam moved onto explaining assignment two task two. This task was about transmission technologies. I found it quite interesting and I do understand all of the different transmission methods and communication methods. I made notes from the PowerPoint and Adam also sent us the PowerPoint so I found that quite helpful so I could look back on my notes and the PowerPoint if I got stuck or needed some information.

For the rest of the day we worked on task two. My aim was  to get as much as I could get done. I started off writing down one limitation and one strength of each of the methods so I could get down my initial idea. After that I moved onto giving an example of explaining each of the methods done. I had some time left so I wrote a couple more advantages and disadvantages in different methods.

Tomorrow I will aim to finish off the strengths and limitations. This will leave me to finish off explaining why the methods are good and I will need to explain the different communication methods.

Monday - Submission day

We started off today hearing about an event called Creative Futures event. This is a careers event where we can learn about different careers. I think this will be quite interesting learning about the different careers that are out there. I selected games design and animation as I am quite interested in these areas but I am not sure yet.

After that we cracked on with our work. I have nearly finished so I will be finishing it off tonight. All I have left is four parts of section seven on task two and I am done. I did not want to go for the distinction as I did feel too confident with it.

I am happy with my progress today and I am excited for learning about assignment two. I will finish off assignment one today and I will proof read it all before I send it off.

Friday

We started off the day with a little countdown game. This included numbers and letters. I managed to get two off in the numbers game and in the letters I managed to get a five letter word. After lunch we also played the binary game however I score was lower the second time we played it.

Most of the day John was explaining about assignment two. This seems simpler than assignment one but it is still a little bit confusing. We were learning about the different signals and how they can be converted. It is quite interesting as I have never looked at it before. I am pretty confident with assignment two so far so I do not think I will struggle much.

After John had finished teaching us we moved onto work. I managed to nearly finish off access methods. I will finish off the rest of the work by the end of the weekend and I will submit it Monday. I will proof read all of my blogs to double check that they are right.

Thursday

Today we started off the day with the quiz. This time it was created by Danny and it was about CSMA. This quiz was more knowledge base so it was different compared to other quizzes. I managed to get 7/11 so I was pleased with that. Adam is making the quiz next week so it will be interesting to see what it will be like.

I managed to finish most of my work today. I started off finishing the network topoligies so I moved onto network software. I did quite confused on the network topoligies but in the end I managed to finish it. I did not get as confused on network software but I managed to finish that off. I started access methods but I have not got too far with it so my goal for tomorrow is to finish it off. 

I am happy with my progress today and I will try to finish all of task two by the end of the weekend. 

Tuesday

Today we were mainly working on assignment one task two. I have managed to progress quite far with it today and I am happy with all of my progress. I started off finishing off assignment one task one. I did not have much to do so I did finish it off quite fast. I have also finished the networks and I have moved onto network topologies.

Adam also started to teach us assignment two. We were learning about how information is checked when it is sent. This is called error detection / correcting. It was quite confusing at the start but in the end I managed to work it out. I also made notes about it so when we start assignment two I can refer back to my notes and I would be able to understand about it.

I have done two of the five network topologies and I am pleased with how much I have got through today. Network topologies are quite confusing for me but in the end I have worked out how they work and I am more confident with them now. The diagrams I find help me understand more about the topologies so it useful.

Monday

We started off the day preparing to make a PowerPoint about the group activity we did yesterday. We were all assigned a different network service and we had to explain what it is, the benefits and limitations and where it is used. I am not too good with doing presentations but I think it went well. Adam asked us to write a SMART target about what we could improve. My target was to not read off the board so much.

After that we worked on assignment one. I had to change one of the network services as it was wrong. Most people had got it wrong so I managed to fix it. I also worked on task one that I have nearly finished. All I need to is finish off server and then it will be finished.

In the afternoon John was back again to talk about more assignment one task two. This time John was talking about protocols and packets and many other stuff. It is quite confusing but I do understand it now. John explains it clearly and we can make notes what is helpful.

Friday

Today we had Adam for the first two lessons and John for the third lesson. With Adam we did a group activity for task two. We were doing all the different network services what are quite confusing. In our groups we had to research Packet Switched, ISDN, Wireless Access Protocol and broadband. We had to find out about what it is, the benefits and the limitations. I was researching the Packet Switched. It is quite interesting learning about all of the different network services.

We also watched a video looking at Bletchley Park and how they were cracking pieces of code. This video was quite interesting showing about how they worked together and cracked code. It is quite interesting seeing the past and how they worked back then compared to now.

After lunch we had John who was talking various things for task two. Today he talked about network software, access methods and communication and protocols. This was quite confusing however once John explained it I did understand it better. I made notes throughout the PowerPoint so if I get confused I can easily go check my notes to help me.

New unit!

Today we started a new unit. The unit we have started is called communications technology. I have hardly done a lot about this so what I am learning is all new to me. So far it has been quite an interesting unit and I have enjoyed it today. It is with Adam so the lessons are interactive what is quite fun as it makes learning easier.

We have been working on assignment one task one and some people have been working on task two as well if they have finished task one. I have nearly finished task one so I will aim to finish that off tomorrow. I did find task one quite confusing at the start but in the end I managed to work it out. 

Adam used a good example when explaining task two. Task two is about networks and he did an activity to demonstrate all of the different types of topologies. I found this quite helpful and it helped me with task two. I am more confident with task two now so I should not get too stuck with it.

Overall I am happy with what I have learnt today and  I cannot wait to learn more tomorrow. It is quite a confusing unit.

Last day of games design

Today was our last day doing game design so I had to finish my game manual and my technical document. I managed to finish it just before study time so I sent it off ready to be marked. I have enjoyed the game design unit but it did not beat my favourite unit we have done (programming).

I first started off working on my game manual. I had four pages to do so it did not take too long. I managed to finish off the game manual just after lunch so I could work on my technical manual.

 I got a little confused on the technical manual but Danny showed me his and explained what we had to do so that was very helpful. I worked on the technical manual and I think I have done what is needed for the task. I was a little unsure on the structures but I gave it a go anyway.

I am happy with the progress I made today and I am looking forward to the new unit. I hope I will learn some more information that can improve my IT skills. 

Work submitted!

Today's main aim was to start the manuals for our games and to finish our personal development plan as that needs to be submitted today. We first started off writing about our personal development plan. We had to write a report about it and say what we did and what we can improve. I managed to finish that just before break.

After break some people (including me) moved onto designing our game manual. I have been making my game manual in Photoshop as I prefer it to Publisher. I have made 3 pages and I am half way through my 4th page. I will be finishing off my manual tomorrow morning so I can work on the next part of the unit.

I am happy with my progress today and hopefully tomorrow I can finish the rest of the unit off.

Testing the game

Today I was working assignment three. There is two tasks for assignment three. The first one is getting some screenshots in game and annotating it and the second task is the testing and getting feedback. I also had to write about black box and white box testing that I have not finished. I will be working on that tonight and I will be sending it off.

I first started on working on the screenshots so I could annotate them. I managed to finish them just after lunch so I started to work on my testing document. I tested the main parts of each of my levels to find out of they worked. I did the same test twice so I could check if they work. I had one issue with the player spawning in a random place so I fixed it quite easily.

I am happy with what I have done today and I will finish off the work when I get home.

Finished game!

My main aim for today was to finish my game. I managed to finish my game just after lunch as there was a few little bugs I had left. One of these bugs were how the enemies were getting stuck again. I fixed this simply by adding some more collisions to bounce back. I managed to add a message at the end to say that you won. It also sends you back to the start menu if you want to play again.

Then I moved onto commenting on the screenshots. I managed to write about two of them so I still have a couple left. I wrote about the buttons and the main character so I still have the items and the enemies left. I also started to work on the test document however I worked more the screenshots. I wanted to lay out the test document so I could work on it tomorrow.

Overall I am happy with my progress today and I will aim to finish off the work tomorrow ready to be submitted.

First day back

We are back from the Christmas break and we were mainly working on our game. The Christmas break was nice and it was good to have a little break from college. Today I have worked on designing more of my game and I will finish it off on Thursday.

I started working on level two as I had only just started that. I had my specification open to follow my design for the levels. This made it easier to work out how I was going to plan out my levels. I had a couple of issues with my levels such as the enemies were not bouncing back when they went into a wall. I managed to fix this by adding invisible blocks for the enemies to bounce on.

In the end I managed to get to level three and I will be finishing it off on Monday. All I need to do is add in the items to collect and test all of the levels. I think I could have a few bugs with the enemies but they can be easily fixed.
